Man, that plastic looks even harder than the plastic in my base-model F-150, and that plastic can scratch diamonds.

There is nothing wrong with having it one side or the other, the VW/Audi have usually their volume knob on the right (and there is no RHD/LHD specific models) .

got the short cable off ebay, tried my phone, no go

bought a USB stick put some music onto it and it works. disappointed my iphone doesn’t work with it.
